Hi! I'm Gina. Thanks for dropping by!  Let me tell you how I came to be a piano teacher.

Music has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember.  Before I even started taking lessons I remember listening to my grandpa, a professional musician and band teacher, play the organ and piano and he would often sit and teach me note by note how to play "In the Mood" and other songs on the organ or piano.  At the age of 5 I began piano lessons and played up through college where I studied piano pedagogy at Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho). I've also had the opportunity to play trombone in many bands, and sing in many choirs. My very first job was accompanying for a voice teacher in high school, and I couldn't believe people got paid to do something they loved. I decided that I should do that the rest of my life.

I began teaching piano lessons in high school, and have since then had over 17 years of piano teaching experience. I love my students and work hard to help them have a successful and enjoyable time playing piano.

I am an active member of the Music Teachers National Association and  the Utah Music Teachers Association where I am currently co-chair for the Achievement in Music Program in my chapter. I feel that it is extremely important to bring new, creative ideas to the studio by attending conferences, workshops, and by associating and joining with the best and most creative minds in the music industry. I feel blessed to by a part of the Keynotes Music Teachers, and the Vibrant Music Teaching Group.

When I am not doing something music related, I am probably outdoors hiking or gardening, reading, cooking, or spending time with my family.
